Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and PageOn PDF ("we", "us"). They cover the PageOn PDF™ software, the pageonpdf.com website and your PageOn account. By downloading, installing or using PageOn PDF, you accept these terms.

 

1. Who sells the software

Our order process is run by Paddle, Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and customer service enquiries about payments and returns. 
 

2. Plans

• Free: view PDFs plus basic markup: highlight, underline/strikeout and sticky-note comments. No time limit.
• Pro trial: every Pro feature free for 14 days. No card required. After the trial, PageOn continues as the Free version.
• Pro annual subscription: every Pro feature and every update while your subscription is active. Renews automatically each year until you cancel.
• Team: several seats on one account, assigned by email.

Paddle shows your local currency and any applicable tax at checkout.

 

3. Licence to use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PageOn PDF under the plan you have chosen.

• One licence is for one named person, who may activate it on up to two devices they use, in any mix of computers, phones, tablets and the online app.
• The app checks in with our licence server at least once every 30 days. If it cannot, Pro features pause until it checks in again. Your files are not affected.
• You may move your licence to a new device from your account.
• Team seats are assigned to named people and may be reassigned by the account owner.

 

4. Subscriptions

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each yearly billing period at the price shown at checkout, unless you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account or from the link in your Paddle receipt. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, PageOn continues as the Free version and your files are not affected.
• If a payment fails, Pro features pause until payment is updated.

 

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• copy, resell, sublicense or share licence keys
• use the software unlawfully

 

6. Your documents

Your files stay on your device. PageOn PDF processes documents, including OCR, locally, and we do not receive the contents of your files, except a document you send for signature (kept until 30 days after the request ends). AI tools send content to the AI provider you choose, under its terms. You are responsible for the documents you open, edit and share.

7. Third-party components

PageOn PDF includes open-source components under their own licences. Those licences are listed in the app under Settings → About.

8. Warranty and liability

PageOn PDF is provided "as is". We work to make it reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free. You remain responsible for checking measurements, quantities and documents before relying on them for design, construction, safety or commercial decisions. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

11. Changes and termination

• We may update these terms. We will post the new date here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
• We may suspend a licence that breaks these terms.
• You may stop using PageOn PDF at any time.
